Abstract
Digital Literacy: pedagogical possibilities in the field of TEFL on the waves of hypertext
This article presents a reflection about the development of the project Digital Literacy:
new approaches in teaching English as foreign language which was executed in a high school located in State of Acre. It aims to insert the students in the field of computer assisted language learning, using properly the new information and communication technologies in their learning process. It presents the insights related to the application of the project as well its methodology and the theory it was based. The aims of the project were to include the students in the digital literary practices and to development linguistic competence to a properly communicative approach in English language. For this, were elected the digital genre and hypertext which are spread in the virtual media emphasizing that digital literacy related to genre permit to improve the students' learning strategy for a significant and efficient communication.
